Biryuzova 33 Residential Complex

Houses & residence

2008

The complex is erected in the Moscow district of Shchukino, being comprised of two buildings: a three-section 13-storied building with two-level apartments on the top floor and a 27-storied tower. The “plate” of the more elongated complex is oriented along Marshala Biryuzova Street, while the square-plan tower is moved inside the residential block. The spaces are consolidated not only by the underground parking facilities and the landscaped roof garden but by a common architectural solution. As the main finishing material we chose brick tile of deep red-terracotta color highlighted with white, gray and orange panels. The balconies finished with them are designed as consoles which enrich the plastics of these generally laconic spaces. The structures’ visual lightness is also due to major glazed surfaces, window-cut corners, combination of horizontal and vertical divisions. The project also provides for decorative metal grill balconies for installing air conditioners, to guarantee the integrity of the original architecture of the facades.
