Office on Oruzheiny lane

Mixed use

2006

This multi-purpose complex features a 31-storied building with a two-level underground parking lot. The building is located at the intersection of Dolgorukovskaya Street and Oruzheyniy Lane and is perfectly seen from the Garden Ring, which makes it an important high-rise centerpiece in the development of both the district and the whole city as well. That is why the architectural concept is based on the principal of a plastically expressive space with the most active employment of state-of-the-art construction and finishing materials. The high-rise building features a tapering prism. For the flank façade lining we used natural stone to emphasize the plastics of cascades, while the principal front facing the Garden Ring is fully glazed and braided with deco steel wire ropes. The theme of glass-metal interaction is further developed in the ground floor design: the columns used to partially raise the building are treated as strands of metal ropes.

The ground floor of the complex hosts outlets, entrance zones for the residential and office sections, and parking lot entrances. Floors 1-5 host outlets, floors 6-17 are designed as office premises, while floors 18-30 are meant for apartments. When the construction is completed, it is expected to landscape the complex territory with green spaces, state-of-the-art coverings for sidewalks and playgrounds, installation of small-scale sculptures and decorative site fencing.
