Office on Vasilisy Kozhinoy st.

Mixed use

2008

The volume and space solution of the administrative and office building features a composition of three uneven rectangular blocks forming H in the plan. The side buildings (8- and 14-storied) are occupied with office premises, while the central space features a transport and communication core with a staircase, an elevator lobby and WC blocks. The ring corridor is used to join the side buildings. The compact central zone is the building’s stiffening core used to clear the office premises of load-carrying structures. 8.4*12 column pitch and good illumination provided by the H-shape planning create optimum environment for ergonomic organization of the workspace and ultimately comfortable zoning of office premises. They are arranged at floors 2-13, while the bottom floors are meant for a restaurant (140 seats), canteen (350 seats), sales outlets, administrative and housekeeping and utility rooms.

The expediency of functional filling is packed with the thin fiber of full glazing stitched with a fine grid of thin-profile stained-glass structures. The tinned glass of warm shades and copper-style anodized profile moldings evoke a sensation of facades lit with daylight. Rounded angles of large spaces make the building look lighter to harmonize its perception.

The interior is designed with smooth and fluid lines – a wavelike canopy of the central entrance flows into the interior environment in a wide flow and covers the double height lobby space.
