Residentional Complex on Vavilova St.

Houses & residence

2014

This multi-purpose residential complex is located at the intersection of Vavilova Street and Lyapunova Street surrounded by low-rise brick buildings of the 1960s-1970s. Taking up their stylistics in materials and austere shapes, the new complex both successfully blends in the surroundings and due to its elaborate composition solution never overshades the neighboring buildings. The complex is comprised of two high-rise L-shaped towers joined with a common one-storied stylobate and being each other’s replicas, almost. The towers are multi-storied with 7 up to 20 stories, descending to the courtyard with beautiful and steep shelves hosting open green terraces. Cut with deep and expressive niches, the facades are lined with ashlar brick of a warm terracotta color. Another bright focus is on decorative elements of staircase railings made of triplex safety glass with colorful film of all colors of the rainbow.
Apart from the expressive architectural image and a wide range of comfortable apartment zoning, this residential complex can boast one more undeniable advantage: the stylobate roofing hosts a real park with high trees, recreation areas and playgrounds. A cozy courtyard separated from the busy street with a wall of towers and a stylobate is also turned into a green public space.
